The District Hearings in Uganda engaged hundreds of citizens and set out key recommendations for the Minister of Health. The citizen led recommendations also contributed to consultations for the Global Strategy for Women's and Children's Health which feed into the new worldwide Sustainable Development Goals, to be launched in September 2015.

District Hearings were held on 6th March 2015 in Kabale and Mityani and a Regional Hearing was held on 27th March

National CSOs have agreed that health should be one of the national top priorities of the post 2015 agenda, and that it is critical for the citizens of the country to have a role in defining SDG country priorities. When citizens are well informed, they can, through their voice, hold National leaders accountable with positive results.
